So I went up with my 95 S14 and a pair of Subaru's to North Carolina for the Dragon's Tail... for those who live near Fontana Village it's route 28 past Deal's Gap... for those who don't... it's a 319 turns in an 11 mile span with about 1000' elevation changes in between through the mountains. All, I have to say is WOOOOOW!  Being the smart person I am, I didn't take the 240 on that road, due to lack of suspension, and not being comfortable with my car yet (just got it last month).  But I did go in a prepped Subaru Legacy that took the turns at about 60mph, when the other drivers couldn't go past 40mph. Out of a weekend if was fun as hell, but please watchout for the @$$holes on that road. A friend was pushed into a revine by a pair of Ford Cobra Replicas with Florida tags, one was sliver with black stripes the other was blue with white stripes. They took a turn to fast and fishtailed the car into the middle of the road pushing my friends car over.  Luckily he was ok and the car did not roll over..... we managed to stop a Chevy 2500 p/u truck and hooked a tow rope to the Subaru and got it out with just a damaged bumper, it started up and drove away.

I'm going to have to make my way up there in the near future.. I'm only a couple hours away.  I hear it's an amazing drive..

It is... but please remember to watch out because 18 wheelers like to go through that road, even though they're not supposed to, and they do tend to cross the double-yellow line.
