Hi guys..

My S14's climate control got problem.

Either heater or A/C, it works only when I put my blower at 4.

1, 2, 3 doesn't work.

A/C compressor starts to work at 1, but there's no blow at all.

Only at 4, it blows so strong.

Any idea?

Your heater resistor card has gone.

Its a brown connector normaly located under the glovebox.

You can fix it by remelting the solder pad on the card (don't add any new solder)

if you're less adept at soldering its very simple to just replace it. it's cheap.

a few screws and it pops out. put the new one in, screw it in and you're done. note the oritentation when you take it out.

its under and behind you glove compartment.

Thank you guys.

Ok then I think I will replace the part.

At the local Nissan Dealer, which part should I ask for? heater resistor card?

Can you give me the exact name for it?

Kinda confused there..

print this out and take it to them

it's item #4

official name should be somewhere along the lines of blower motor resistor. i wouldn't be surprised if it was just called 'resistor'.

regurgitating an old thread for those who search to be helpful
mine died the other day and I fixed it today
I couldn't believe it functioned at all, I've never seen solder as rotten as this I was amazed. I could barely almost melt it bot got sick of it and scraped most off with a razor blade
Anyone who has this problem just do what I did, blop a new solder blob on there and call it a day. This is not a wear part, it should really just last forever. If your smart enough to pull this and work on your car your smart enough to melt 1 single piece of solder.
I fixed mine in 5 minutes and it saved me 30 bux - woohoo.
