Well my GT2871R 64 trim arrived today, at least I think that's what I got. A good buddy got one of the EXACT same trim/size/etc we ordered of the same Garrett part number. From a different website and his arrived very nicely packaged, all the components sepreated out and had a tube fitting on the intake and compressor outlets of the turbo. Mine came fully assembled, has what looks like a T28 housing has the two bold intake and three bolt outlet flanges on it, and didn't come with any paperwork from Garrett anything like that. No wastegate either. I'm not particularly enthuised. I have a T28 to compare it to the housing is noticable bigger and the compressor wheel may be a bit bigger, but not much, haven't measured yet. The turbine housing matches the description deviated flange between wastegate and exhuast flow. I'm honestly upset about all this supposedly we both ordered the same turbo but from differnet places and mine comes assembled and missing a wastegate. I was going to have the housings coated so this is less than optimal. Anyway to tell I indeed got a GT2871R - 472560 - 15 Garrett number?

Unfortunatly my digital camera budget went to the turbo so it would take a little while for me to get some pics up here. The center section has a tag that reads: JAM019458 next line: 472560 -5015 which sounds like the Garrett part number I was going for. The compressor housing indeed looks like the top one not the bottom one. Says : A/R60 M25 1-2 on it. Turbine housing just says .64 so I'm now conviced the turbine housing and center section are correct...

You got the "new style" 2871. My roommate got the same one... link to someone asking about it here: link (http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB9&Number=68047803&Forum=All_Forums&Words=gt2871&Match=Entire%20Phrase&Searchpage=2&Limit=25&Old=3months&Main=68047803&Search=true#Post68047803)
They don't come with actuators... apparently that costs 100 extra. The 2871 I got has the other style 2871 compressor housing (the lower one shown in the pic a couple posts above), and came with an actuator as depicted. Just 2 different styles I guess

EDIT: As seen in your link... it clearly says the actuator is not included, and you can buy it lower on that page for $101 extra. The pic they used is the other style compressor housing, so I see where you were misled. The lines "# Provides Better Boost Response than the 743347-1 & 743347-2 Turbochargers
# Great Size for Applications w/Packing Constraints" leads me to believe that they are referring to the "new style" 2871, like you described you got... with the t28 style compressor housing.

That little thing about the actuator being extra was added after my order. I had been E-mailing them about getting it first they quoted me 82$ then said it'd be on the site then it showed up there more expensive than before. My biggest problem with the whole thing currently is that it arrived in a box with no paperwork, no anything just this fully assembled turbo in a box. Meanwhile everyone I've know who's bought a turbo has received them disasembled, and with spec sheets defining everything you've just purchased.
