i was driving in first to around 4-5k rpm and then i pressed the clutch in and it made a loud noise. what is the problem? i didn't shift into 2nd gear yet though, just pressed it in

as rpm's dropped about 1k rpm i heard the grinding/screeching noise

i just completed my 5 speed swap and a brand new clutch kit was put in

could it be because of improper bleeding?

What clutch did you have put in? If you got a clutch that was designed for a maxima, the t.o. bearing that comes with the kit will not fit the sr trans so most peaple just keep the old one instead of doing it right and waiting to get the correct bearing

new throwout bearing, came with the exedy clutch kit. can it really go bad that quick?

is this because there is air inside the lines?

here's a video of it
