View Full Version : S14 rear subframe into S13?

Think I've seen it done but now a knowledgeable source tells me it's impossible. Does anyone here have experience with this? Reason I ask is the subframe on my S13 is caked with grime and dust and I have an S14 subframe in good shape laying around. Since I'm going to be doing rear suspension work soon, I figured why not swap the subrame out while I'm at it?

LOL... Marco told me he gave you an S15 one and it wouldn't fit. Hmmm... I could have sworn some Japanese cars had them.. modified most likely.

it fits much closer then s14
s14 is totally different then s13/s15 iirc
s15 is far closer (10mm off) to a s13

s14 is not close
i cant ever recall seeing a s15 member on a s14 chassis

s13 yes often
andthey make after market bushings if u want to put a s15 on a s13

but not for s14 different mounting points, iirc

havent checked but use the search function and you can find out, i know Russ know for sure.

When my name is spoken, I cometh. It's doable, but with a lot of fab work.

S14 is just under an inch wider than S13 between the mounting pins, you could make custom offset bushings to mount it but it would also require offset spacers to fill the gaps as well. The use of S14 axles would also be needed to accomodate the added width.

Z32 is even wider than that.

Couple JDM companies make solid aluminum bushings like SPLparts sells but, the holes are offset (not centered) in the hole to make up the 10mm difference.
I've seen it done in an Option video and it's in one of my hyper Rev magazines. I have a list of companies that make them. I'll see if any are imported to the US.
