The exhaust is a Pacesetter Monza system.
It has 2.5'' mandrel bent piping and it does not come with a resonator.
(Cliffnotes for sale on bottom)
The muffler looks like the stock 240SX muffler, but with larger/longer tips.
Honestly this is the worse piece of shit exhaust in terms of fitment.
When the stupid muffler shop that installed it installed it, it had problems lining up or something and they had to cut the pipe that connects to the CAT and re-weld it back together.
They also welded the slip-on connection. (The two pipes of the exhaust are slip-on, they welded them together)
The muffler shop I went to did a shitty job, and it kept blowing gaskets because of the way they welded the pipes, and so it kept hitting the differential.
After blowing 2 sets of gaskets (I'm assuming because of hitting the differential so much)... they ended up welding my exhaust to my CATCO Hi-flow CAT.
The CAT then rattled so they cut the pipe off again and checked it out.
The CAT broke apart inside because of a big assed rock that hit it (and dented it) so they just gutted it all out for me (the muffler shop).
They then rewelded it back to the CAT, while angling the pipe for differential clearance.
The exhaust now has enough clearance from the differential, but the rear muffler is slightly slanted/rotated (from rear view) .
So when and if you put it on your car, it will look like it's about 15 degrees rotated.
For Sale:
- S13 Pacesetter Monza Exhaust system, 2.5'' piping. Mandrel bent.
Has been cut and re-welded back together (due to differential clearance issues. It clears the diff fine now)
It does not have a resonator.
The slip on connection has been welded together.
- The above is welded to a GUTTED CATCO Hi-Flow CATalytic Converter
- The piping is not black. the black paint burned off. the muffler is still black with chrome tips.
(The muffler has no scrapes. My car's at stock ride height. The tips are clean)
I will not sell till around summer (June/July) when I have to smog the car, I just want to see how much you guys would give for this set up.
I am hoping to get around $150, since it is cheap as shit.
How it sounds:
SOHC KA24E- it rasps at high RPM like crazy. This is because there is no resonator.
Low RPM's, it is pretty quiet. I have never been pulled over for this exhaust, because it has a stockish looking muffler and it's 2.5'' and not that loud.
Good for you non-SR KA guys that just want a little performance.
Below is a picture of the Ford Probe Pacesetter muffler. I can't find a pic of the one I have, but it looks almost the same as that muffler, except the tips are round, but not angled/sharp. it looks like this: ==|
where as the probe muffler tip is like: ==/
LOOKING TO GET AROUND $150. WILL NOT SHIP, it's all ONE PIECE. SELLING AROUND JUNE/JULY.
